What’s involved
How a Briks gas fitter job actually runs.
- 01
On-site inspection first. Gas work cannot be quoted accurately without seeing the appliance, the run, and the meter. We photograph the existing setup so the quote is line-by-line.
- 02
Active leaks (gas smell, hissing, browning grass over a buried line) are dispatched within 60 minutes inside metro Adelaide. Make-safe — turn off the meter, isolate the appliance — before full repair.
- 03
Every gas job ends with a Certificate of Compliance lodged with the SA Office of the Technical Regulator. Copy in your inbox the same week.
Standards + compliance
The non-negotiables.
The licenses, standards, and paperwork every Briks-coordinated gas fitting job clears before, during, and after the work.
Type A gas fitter ticket
Every Briks gas fitter holds a current Type A gas-fitter authorisation issued by Consumer and Business Services SA. Type A covers domestic and small-commercial appliances — the work most people need.
AS/NZS 5601 gas installations
All gas work is installed to Australian Standard AS/NZS 5601 (Gas installations). Pipe sizing, run protection, ventilation, and clearances all to spec.
eCoC lodgement
Every notifiable gas job is lodged with the SA Office of the Technical Regulator via the eCoC (electronic Certificate of Compliance) system. Required by law and required by your insurer.
